  • Refer your request to an Authorized Network Partner when we are unable to fulfill the request ourselves due to location or scheduling.
  • Communicate with you regarding your service request via phone, SMS/text, or email.

3. Disclosure and "Sale" of Information

To ensure your garage door emergency is handled as quickly as possible, California Garage Door Repair operates as a service fulfillment network.

  • Service Referrals: You acknowledge and agree that we may share your contact and service information with vetted third-party garage door professionals (“Network Partners”).
  • Marketing Disclosure: In some instances, we may act as a marketing provider and transfer your request to a partner in exchange for a referral fee. This is done solely to facilitate the connection between you and a local professional who can perform the work.
  • Legal Compliance: We do not sell your data to random third-party telemarketers or unrelated “list buyers.” Your data is only shared with professionals in the garage door industry for the purpose of completing your specific request.

4. TCPA & Automated Communication

By providing your phone number on our website or calling our listed lines, you are establishing a business relationship with California Garage Door Repair and its Network Partners. You provide express written consent to be contacted via:
  • Live phone calls and/or text messages.
  • Automated dialing technology or pre-recorded messages.
  • Note: You may opt out of these communications at any time by replying “STOP” to any text or by informing the caller you wish to be placed on our internal “Do Not Call” list.

5. SMS Communications Policy

This section describes our SMS messaging practices as required by CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices and A2P 10DLC registration requirements.

5.1 How We Use SMS

California Garage Door Repair uses SMS messaging exclusively for operational communication related to active service orders. We send the following types of messages:

  • Service order confirmation and technician assignment notifications
  • Technician arrival time and coordination updates
  • Two-way operational messages between customers and assigned technicians
  • Service completion confirmations

We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising content through our SMS system.

5.2 SMS Opt-In

You opt in to receive SMS messages when you:

  • Submit a service request on our website and provide your mobile phone number
  • Call our office and provide your mobile number to schedule service
  • Respond to a technician’s SMS message initiating service coordination

By providing your mobile phone number through any of these channels, you expressly consent to receive operational SMS messages related to your specific service order. Consent is not a condition of purchasing our services.

We document opt-in consent including: timestamp, collection method, consent language presented, and the phone number for which consent was granted.

5.3 Proxy Messaging & Privacy Protection

To protect the privacy of both our customers and technicians, all SMS communication between you and your assigned technician is routed through a dedicated proxy phone number. This means:

  • You will receive messages from and send messages to a proxy number (not the technician’s personal number)
  • Your personal phone number is never disclosed to the technician
  • The technician’s personal phone number is never disclosed to you
  • All messages are routed through Twilio Inc.’s secure messaging infrastructure

5.4 Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies based on service order activity. You may typically receive 2–6 messages per active service order. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. California Garage Door Repair does not charge separately for SMS communications.

5.5 How to Opt Out

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time using any of the following methods:

After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message. No further messages will be sent unless you initiate a new service request.

5.7 SMS Data Retention

SMS message content and metadata are retained for 90 days following service completion for compliance, quality assurance, and dispute resolution purposes. You may request deletion of your SMS data by contacting info@californiagaragerepair.com. Note: deletion requests may affect our ability to resolve service disputes.

5.8 SMS Service Provider

Our SMS services are powered by Twilio Inc. Your phone number and message content are processed in accordance with Twilio’s Privacy Policy available at twilio.com/legal/privacy. Twilio is registered as an A2P messaging provider with The Campaign Registry (TCR).

6. Your Rights (CCPA/CPRA & State Laws)

Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
  • Request Access: See what data we have collected about you.
  • Request Deletion: Ask us to delete your personal information.
